Error Code
FLO error code — Gecko spa
Always cut power at the breaker before opening the spa pack or touching wiring. Spa equipment runs at 120/240V and can be lethal. If you are unsure, hire a licensed spa technician.
FLO is the code Gecko owners see most, and it's usually the cheapest to fix: a clogged filter or a pressure switch covers the majority of cases. The heater is rarely the problem — it's the component reporting it.
What FLO means
Flow problem — heater on but no flow confirmed.
Diagnose in order
- Pull and inspect the filter cartridge — a clogged filter is the most common cause by far
- Bleed any air lock at the pump union until water runs steady
- Test the pressure/flow switch — a $15–30 part and an easy DIY swap
- Verify every diverter valve is fully open
- Listen to the circulation pump — humming with weak jet flow means it's failing
- Only then suspect the heater — a heater replaced on top of a flow problem fails again in weeks
