Before you buy — quick checklist

Confirm your existing pump is 115V — do not install a 115V pump on a 240V circuit
Match the horsepower rating on your old pump's label before ordering
Verify your spa uses a 48Y frame motor — check the motor nameplate
Confirm this is a two-speed pump — count the wires on your existing pump (two-speed will have more leads than single-speed)
Measure or note your existing plumbing union size to ensure fittings are compatible
Take a photo of your old pump's nameplate before removal for reference during install

Reading the checklist now prevents 90% of returns. Worth the 60 seconds.
